General Overview
Bartenders are responsible for selling and serving food and mixed beverages. Uses hospitality and graciousness in dealing with guests Performs duties in a pleasant, conscientious, fun, energetic and professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction.

Summary of Responsibilities
  • Have complete knowledge of products and specifications
  • Help promote a safe and clean environment for co-workers and guests
  • Check IDs to ensure alcoholic beverages are served only to guests over 21 years of age and monitor the amount of alcohol served, so that guests do not become overly intoxicated
  • Oversees bar maintenance. Always maintain a clean and organized bar
  • Greet guests promptly with a smile and provide coasters for all non-stemmed beverages
  • Serve beverages and food to guests in accordance with established guidelines
  • Ring in all takeout orders from call-in, walk-ins & all to-go platforms tablets
  • Provide guests at the bar with the correct and appropriate silverware for their food items
  • Accurately account for every drink poured; maintain spill tab for mistakes
  • Further duties not currently listed in this outline may be added at the manager’s discretion
Knowledge, Skills and Personal Attributes
 
  • Mixology experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Well-organized with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment 
  • Extensive knowledge of drink preparation or service
Education and Experience

  •  Must be at least 21 years old
  •  Previous restaurant experience preferred
  •  Must complete Food Handlers and BASSET Certificate 
Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing and preparing drinks
  • Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds
